Week 4 Round Up - Cobras, BYJ Remain Unbeaten

This week saw 5 games played across the NDBA with some wild and crazy action. The Expos and Cannons scored a 35 runs in the Fort Erie home opener, the Cobras come from 9 runs down to taste victory and the Expos walk it off in their home opener.

 

Here are the highlights from the games that were played.

 

Merritton Alliance 1 – Thorold Anchors 3

Anchors and Alliance battle in a pitching duel between Dan Smith and rookie Andrew D’Angelo. Anchors were able to break through in the late innings against the Alliance Bullpen to stretch some insurance runs. Alliance come back is thwarted with the tying run at the plate in the 7th.

Niagara Falls Expos 18 – Fort Erie Cannons 17

The Cannons open up their home schedule with a wild 18-17 loss to the Expos. The game featured 3 half innings of at least 5 runs and 3 home runs between the 2 teams.

Fort Erie Cannons 10 – St. Catharines 12

The Cannons ripped off an impressive 9 run first inning in this game but the Cobras showed their will by chipping away at that lead throughout the night. They were able to take the lead in the bottom of the 5th inning and close the door the rest of the way.

Another NDBA pitching duel, this time between Nick Cook and rookie Ethan Wells. The Alliance were able to get to Cook for 3 runs to take a 3 run lead, however the Expos were able to mount the comeback against the Alliance bullpen and take the walk off win.
