The Thorold Anchors are still standing in the NDBA Senior Playoffs after defeating the Fort Erie Cannons 16-4 in game 2 of their best of 3 series Thursday night at McMillan Park in Thorold.
The result was the exact opposite of game 1 between the squads which was a 16-4 victory for Fort Erie on Wednesday night at Oakes Park.
The Anchors had several key offensive contributions led by Dan Smith who went 4 for 4 with 2 rbi, Drew Timlock who went 2 for 4 with 5 rbi, and Tony Brown who went 3 for 5 with 2 rbi and 3 runs scored.
Dalton Procyshyn picked up the complete game victory for the Anchors throwing 6 innings allowing 4 runs (3 earned), while striking out 7 Cannons.
Game 3 is scheduled for Monday night at 7:30 in Fort Erie.
