After a 2023 season that saw the Expos finish below 500 for the season at 9-14-1, the team is in a rebuilding mode for the 2024 season so to speak. The Expos will be losing some key players from the last couple seasons including their 2019 championship season in Garett Fisher, Jack Kemp, Vito Scaringi, Cody Lyndon as well as Matt Anderson and Taylor Anderson.
However, their replacements will all play vital roles for the Expos in this 2024 season. The most notable of the newcomers is Serge Gervais, who spent last season with the St.Catharines Cobras hitting 267 for the season in 12 games with St.Catharines last season.
The Expos will also be welcoming Tyler Goosen, Justin Rencon, Al Stephens, Jackson Mackesy, Brian Chatt, Michael Schram and Ryan Nicholson to the squad in addition to the returning veteran core of Evan Baglieri, TC Murray, Jason Antoniak and Josh Thorpe among others.
The Expos dropped a 4-3 decision in their opening game of the season to the defending NDBA Champion Beamsville Yellow Jackets in Beamsville. They will be hosting their opening home game of the season this coming Friday night at 730 at Oakes Park in Niagara as the Fort Erie Cannons come to town.
